Environment
Due to Bruneiâ's location near the ocean, the country has become very vulnerable to climate change impacts and resulting pollution.1 Increased temperatures have been linked to an increase in pollution, and negative affects the countryâ's gas, oil, and agricultural sectors.2 In recent years, the government has begun to focus on mitigation strategies regarding floods and coastal protections, as well as environmental management programs.3 Bruneiâ's most crucial partner for climate change mitigation is Singapore, who can help provide funds and technical expertise on the subjects of air quality and climate change.4 There has also been an environmental youth exchange program launched to adequately education young people on the negative effects of climate change.5
