STORY

Walking 15 miles roundtrip to support victims of sex trafficking

Hello! My name is Amanda and I work at Emmaus, a nonprofit in Chicago that seeks to end exploitation for all. Emmaus' primary goal is to empower male survivors of sex trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation to rebuild their lives.

Due to COVID-19, Emmaus has turned its annual Endurance Ride into a virtual event on June 13th, the Undurance Ride! Not only am I working to produce the event, but I am also participating in it!

On June, 13th, I am walking the 15 miles roundtrip from my home on the northside of Chicago to the Millenium Park area in downtown Chicago and then back. While I walk to support victims of sex trafficking, I will be staying safe and practicing social distancing.

I am very passionate and excited about this new way of supporting survivors of sex trafficking.

Will you help support me as I walk towards my goal of raising $400 for victims of sex trafficking?
