STORY

We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty. - Mother Teresa

In a recent trip to Chicago, I was saddened to see the poor conditions many of those who were homeless found themselves in. To make matters worse, all Chicagoans are very familiar with the unbearably cold, windy winters, which is something those who are homeless lack a safe and warm shelter to combat. While it's not much, I'm on a mission to raise $500 to provide basic needs like warm clothes, blankets, food, and water to homeless people in need.
