I am Rick Baker, and in May of 2017, I launched The Becky Baker Foundation after my wife passed away from Stage IV metastatic breast cancer. One of the last things Becky said to me was, “I’m just sorry that no one will ever remember my name.” I immediately promised her that ‘no one would ever forget her name.'
I then deposited the $1 million dollar life insurance check I received from her death into an account to pay for 5,000 free mammograms, (or thermograms) to be gifted to the uninsured and underinsured. (Becky never had a screening.) Since that time, the BBF has given away over 2,600 mammograms and thermograms.
Life is about what you give, not what you keep.
The Foundation is a 501(C)(3) public charity, EIN number 84-2047492. Further, we are qualified to receive tax-deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under Section 2055, 2106 or 2522.
Together, with thousands of others, we are committed to changing the national breast cancer conversation from “Awareness” to “Prevention." Only "prevention" saves lives.
If you do nothing else today, please read "Becky's Story" on the website. Thank you. www.beckybakerfoundation.org. Blessings to you all! Rick
