Hi everyone! As most of you know, I am currently a sophomore attending Judson University where I have been able to grow and learn. I am studying Elementary Education where I am learning about leadership, communication, being personal and having personal integrity. Each year, a group of students and staff attend mission trips to a variety of locations. When I was a freshman, I first heard about this opprtunity however I did not feel in my heart I was prepared. As the school year begun, I started hearing about the missions trips for 2023. This time, I felt a push from God leading me in the direction to serve the community of Belize. I am so excited to see God work in my life and others as I attend this trip beside my Judson community.
Location: San Antonio Rio Hondo, Belize located in the Eastern coast of Central America.
On this trip I will be serving in a village through teaching, construction, and building a community of Faith while sharing Jesus' love. I will be surrounded by children, youth and adults exploring more about their culture. In this community the children attend school following a VBS (Vacation Bible School). On this trip, I'll be able to express the light of God while working hands on and serving in an environment outside of my "normal".
I pray to inspire and BE inspired through these people whom Jesus loves. As a future educator, I find it important and beneficial to discover cultures where children are currently living in. I am anxious to see what I will encounter on this trip as I go in with no expectations. I pray to enrich my perspective on community and engagment.
Whether its support through donations or prayers, either or would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much for supporting me on this journey!
