Urgent Food Drive: Feed A Child in a Rural School in Uganda

Our Story

In rural communities in Uganda, children go to school without food because their families cannot afford lunch. We are raising $20,000 to provide daily nutritious lunches to 500 vulnerable primary school children while building a sustainable feeding system through school-based agriculture. Children study on empty stomachs, concentration and academic performance decline, school absenteeism and dropout rates increase, malnutrition affects physical and mental development. For many of these children, the school meal may be the only meal they receive that day. Without intervention, hunger will continue to limit education and future opportunity for these children. Each $30 donation provides a child with school for a whole term of fresh and organic produce. Meals are prepared and distributed to the children at school with the support and supervision of both the parent and school administration. Your contribution brings relief, dignity, and a sense of concentration to children experiencing food insecurity in schools.
