Foster Care

Foster care is a critical system that provides temporary or long-term care for children who cannot live with their biological parents. According to the United Nations, there are approximately 140 million orphaned or abandoned children worldwide, many of whom are in need of foster care. However, the foster care system can be complex and challenging for both children and caregivers, and there are efforts being made to improve the system, such as providing more support and resources for foster families, increasing access to mental health services for children in care, and promoting more family reunification whenever possible.
