Our Mission

At Door of Hope, our vision is to exemplify God’s love for foster children and families by providing a Christian home for every foster child and biblical counsel and supportive services through our partnership with the Christian community. A Door of Hope exists for the purposes of glorifying God and providing hope for kids in crisis by fulfilling the spiritual mandate to care for the modern-day orphan.

Who We Are

We Give Hope. Six to eight children, on average, enter foster care every day in Tampa Bay. They leave homes where they have experienced abuse, neglect, and abandonment, and they enter a new season of life in foster care. These children desperately need to know that there is a Door of Hope. Here at A Door of Hope, we recruit, train, license, and support Christian foster homes. Each day 1-2 children are placed in one of our safe, loving families where they are able to heal from the trauma they are facing. With your help, we can let these children know that they are valued by God and not just throw-away kids.
