ReCover Girls Outreach Initiative

ReCover Girls Outreach Initiative was born from lived experience — two women who survived addiction, trauma, homelessness, and hopelessness, and chose to turn their pain into purpose. What began as a small online support group offering encouragement and connection has grown into a global community of more than 40,000 women finding hope, healing, and sisterhood. Our journey started with simple acts of compassion, and those acts have become the foundation of a movement. Our values are rooted in dignity, empathy, and meeting women exactly where they are. We believe recovery is possible for every woman, and that no one should have to walk through crisis alone. Everything we do is built on compassion, lived experience, and the belief that healing happens through community, connection, and consistent support. Our impact continues to grow. We have organized recovery rallies, spoken at community events, partnered with local organizations, and launched our Bags of Hope campaign — providing backpacks filled with hygiene essentials, socks, snacks, crisis hotline numbers, and handwritten encouragement. We’ve taken these bags directly into the streets of downtown Houston, offering not just supplies, but conversation, understanding, and proof that transformation is real. Women see us and realize: “If they made it out, maybe I can too.” Today, we are expanding our mission by working to establish a residential recovery center in Hempstead, Texas — a safe, stable, women?centered environment where healing can take root. This center will allow us to provide structured support, mentorship, life?skills development, and long?term recovery pathways for women who have nowhere else to turn. Our vision is to create a place where women can rebuild their lives with dignity, stability, and hope for the future. ReCover Girls Outreach Initiative is more than a nonprofit — it is a community, a lifeline, and a testament to what is possible when women support women. We are committed to continuing our outreach, expanding our impact, and building a future where every woman has the chance to rise, recover, and reclaim her story.
