WGRC started with a vision to use media to promote a daily Christian lifestyle in the lives of people in the Central Pennsylvania Region. Salt and Light Media Ministries Inc. (the organization that owns WGRC) began in 1984. WGRC first signed on the air April 22nd, 1988 at 5:00 AM. Since then, WGRC has grown into eight transmitting facilities covering 17 counties in Central and Eastern Pennsylvania
