Worldwide Endeavors (WWE) is a non-profit charitable organization established to help the less fortunate help themselves. Our goal is to help others improve their situations in a way that is self-sustaining. Currently , we are assisting projects in 4 countries: Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, and Zimbabwe. All current projects are Primary Schools (US grades K – 7) WWE has a Board of Directors that reviews applications for new projects and oversees all current projects and the management of the organization. Each project is represented by a Board member who serves as the U.S. Project Director for monitoring, fundraising, and reporting to the Board. Donations to Worldwide Endeavors should be directed to specific projects. Contributions are tax deductible under the U.S. IRS tax code, section 501(c) (3). CHILDRENS ADVOCACY CENTER OF ERIE COUNTY INC
Erie’s CAC opened in June 2001. A non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors, the CAC provides the following services: • A child-friendly suite of offices where children who may be victims of abuse are interviewed by a specially trained forensic interviewer when referred by law enforcement or the Erie County Office of Children and Youth. • Monthly multi-disciplinary meeting where all new and ongoing cases of child abuse are reviewed so that no child falls between the cracks. • Video recording of all interviews. • A closed circuit television observation room that permits investigating professionals to view the one interview rather than each professional having to separately interview the child. • Maintenance of county-wide protocols to improve the investigation and prosecution of child abuse cases. • Education of the various professionals in child abuse investigation and intervention techniques so that Erie incorporates the best practices of the country. • Prevention/ education training to the larger community to reduce the incidence of child abuse and increase the likelihood that it will be reported. • Linkages to area providers to insure the child-victims of abuse (and non-offending family members have access to appropriate medical, counseling and mental health services.
