Vision Statement The Paul Laurence Dunbar Group is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established to ensure the sustainable development of the East Spencer and larger Rowan County community. Our vision is to create a brand of public/private collaboration to maximize the use of community resources, relationships, and regional networks to foster sustainable community and economic development opportunities in marginalized communities. The PLDG Community Foundation seeks to establish an “Impact Investment” Fund (IIF) to support and promote social entrepreneurship, digital enterprises, green energy alternatives, STEM activities, Arts and Culture, ecosystem and infrastructure development in the East Spencer community.
