Foundation of Joy

Foundation of Joy creates art--cinema, mixed media, photography, theater and music to raise funds and awareness of the issues affecting children in the U.S and globally: education, hunger, climate change, art, healthcare, mental health, foster care, racial equality, gender equality and homelessness. We also work in the realm of women's human rights and education. We work with the nonprofits doing the daily work, and we tell their stories. The stories raise awareness and funds that not only educate--they go back to the nonprofits. We also use volunteer work as a way to raise funds, and raise awareness of the stories we create---it's a circular model that results in a win-win for all. The art helps educate and fund, and we create the art through acts of service. And the best part---we have an incredible group of artists who mentor kids and young adults in the creation of this art, and telling these stories, so the kids are the artists in solving these issues. Art spreads Joy. We're working on an anthology of shorts, created by mentors and the kids, that cover these issues. Documentary and narrative film, music, photography, theater---art! New Mexico Youth Conservation Foundation Established in 2013, the New Mexico Youth Conservation Foundation is dedicated to inspiring and educating young people through hands-on conservation experiences in the great outdoors. Our mission is to cultivate a lifelong appreciation for nature and stewardship of our environment by engaging youth in activities such as fishing, camping, archery, community farming, beekeeping, and honey production. Through community classes, a pottery studio, gardening initiatives, and youth-led conservation projects, we foster learning, creativity, and a sense of purpose. We strive to build a vibrant community where young people can connect with each other, develop practical skills, and become passionate advocates for conservation—today and for generations to come.
