Duette Animal Rescue Team Inc
DART was founded in 2020 in Manatee County after learning about the plight of exotic pets held in captivity and lack of understanding of the care they need as wild animals. We support causes that advocate for the conservation of these species in the wild in their native countries. DART is a volunteer-based animal welfare organization dedicated to rescuing former domestic and exotic pets such as prosimians and cats with behavioral challenges. By working with a network of zoos, private owners, zoo staff volunteer advocates, foster caregivers, local veterinarians, trainers, and shelters, DART strives to rescue animals and provide these animals with behavioral rehabilitation and care.

Creating a sense of community in which our scholarship recipients and families can feel supported Through our programs, we convey to our scholarship recipients that we view dyslexia as a learning difference that can drive them to be stronger, more determined, dedicated and able to shine brighter, as they learn to believe in themselves the way we believe in them. Camp Everytown is a 4-day camp that works with high school students to create a campus culture of empathy, respect and inclusion. Camp Common Ground works with incoming high and middle school students to acclimate them to their new school and build skills to thrive in their new environment. Camp Connections works with K-5 students to promote problem-solving and anti-bullying skills.
