We are a scholarship granting organization that offers full education support to 360 students living in the Artibonite Valley, Haiti (60 miles north of Port-au-Prince). Students range from kindergarten to university bachelor degree study and technical school certificate study. The support includes full tuition payment (schools are not free in Haiti), uniforms, books, and exam fees. Without this support our students would not be able to attend school. We are in the process of building an Education Center that will support and work with the area schools by offering tutoring and teacher training.

Connection We connect, support, and empower families who have loved ones with MEF2C-related disorders. We are a cooperative and welcoming group of parents that offers peer-to-peer support. By joining our community, we hope families will feel empowered to advocate for their loved ones and prepare themselves for the unique parenting journey that comes with raising a MEF2C child. Research We are also advocates for curing this rare disease, and aim to connect clinicians, researchers, and biotech companies with our patient population. We are committed to furthering research and treatments that will have a meaningful impact on our children’s quality of life. We believe we are stronger together, and we are hopeful that we will eventually treat or cure this rare disease.

The EFWCP is dedicated to providing information, education, advocacy and support services for people living with epilepsy and their families, friends and colleagues. These programs include helmet safety, summer camp, support groups, emergency medication assistance, educational conferences and workshops, respite care services, seizure response dogs, college scholarships and seizure recognition and first aid training.
