Who We Are
ACSF is a women-led organization rooted in San Francisco’s Mission District. Founded in 1991 by legendary Capoeira artist Márcia Treidler (“Mestra Cigarra”), we use Capoeira arts to unite and uplift diverse populations, serving as a catalyst for building a healthy, just, and vibrant society where individuals feel connected to and responsible for their community. We provide accessible, high-quality arts programming. ACSF is led by Artistic Director Márcia Treidler and Executive Director Jennifer Walsh.
