Who We Are
The Ark is the only facility within an 80-mile radius licensed and contracted by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (TX HHSC) to provide assessment services and emergency shelter for 61 children, ages 0 through 17, who were removed from their homes by Child Protective Services (CPS) because their lives were determined to be in danger due to physical abuse, sexual abuse or neglect. The shelter has been home to more than 3,900 minors.
