We seek to serve with love and compassion those whom God places in our reach. To provide the best care possible, enhancing the lives of the people we serve.
Thirty-eight years ago, Bob Eubanks and Paul Fellers, orthopedic surgeons from Fairhope, AL began traveling to underdeveloped countries to provide surgical interventions. Because of the need they encountered, they began making yearly trips overseas.
In 1999 BMM was formed as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. Many countries were served. In 2000 BMM committed to long term work in Ecuador providing volunteer opportunities for health care professionals to offer medical care to those who would otherwise not be able to receive it. Working together through strong relationships with local physicians and professionals quality ongoing care is achieved.
We provide surgeries through teams of volunteer doctors who cover their own expenses. To cover the actual expenses associated with the surgeries, we seek sponsorships through donations and grants.
Where We Work
What We Do
CORRECTIVE SURGERIES: Volunteer physicians provide corrective orthopedic surgeries for children and adults. After recovery patients are able to become participating, contributing members of their society. WHEELCHAIRS for Children: A family with a disabled child struggles to provide mobility for him. It is difficult to carry him everywhere. A postural wheelchair provides the ability to take him from the bedroom to the dining table to interact and participate in family life more easily. It is a gift for the entire family!
