Center for Head Injury Services

The Center for Head Injury Services mission is helping people with brain injuries, autism and other disabilities reach their maximum potential by developing skills, creating opportunities and shaping brighter futures. Brain injuries can occur at any age, beginning at birth. Those that occur during the developmental years can pose a greater challenge because the injury can interrupt a young person’s maturation into adulthood. Our other specialty services are in the areas of autism, blind/vision impairment and youth transition. Since 1986, we have been teaching people with brain injuries to be a part of the community, perform employment-related tasks, find and keep a job and live independently in their own home. Today, our services have expanded to reach people with a wide variety of disabilities who desire a life of choice and independence.
