What We Do
Champlain Community Services (CCS), Inc., in our 50th year of serving our community, is a Specialized Services Agency (SSA) within the State of Vermont's Developmental Services System. Our focus is employment, and self-employment, for people with disabilities through our nationally recognized supported employment program, Way2Work. We offer highly individualized supports, including skills assessment, training, job coaching, and career development to help our consumers find rewarding work - or launch micro-businesses - in the competitive economy.
With the pre-vocational supports we offer to high school students through our Bridging program, and to transitioning students through School2Work, CCS offers a unique continuum of supports to both youth and adults. We work closely with dozens of area employers to help them fulfill their staffing and diversity goals.
Way2Work has earned national "Best Practices in Supported Employment" recognition through National APSE, and has been named the top supported employment program in Vermont for each of the past seven years.
