Our Mission

The Church Music Institute (CMI) is dedicated to the advancement and stewardship of the best sacred music for the use of Christian congregations. Using proven practices, CMI trains new generations of clergy, musicians and laypersons for leading worship through workshops, courses and conferences across the country. CMI also houses the most extensive online library of choral and organ music anywhere.

Who We Are

Church Music Institute serves: Congregations The congregation is the primary choir for worship whose hymns and sacred songs represent the accumulated wisdom of Christians through the ages. Clergy Pastors and priests must be equipped to work with musicians for combining spoken and sung word to glorify God in congregational worship. Musicians Church musicians, keepers of the song of the church, have long understood the power of music to carry praise and prayer to God and connect faith to everyday living.
