Who We Are

The Coalition of Concerned Black Christian Men (CCBCM) of Prince George's county Maryland is based in Fort Washington, MD and is a local 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that started back in 1987. The organization was co-founded in 1987 by the late Eugene Green and the late Isaac "Ike" Gourdine Prince George's County councilman of the 8th district) that was tragically killed in a car accident in 2002. The mission of the organization is to operate on a non-profit basis with an all-volunteer membership that provides resources in support of educational opportunities, social assistance and community involvement to help enhance the quality of life for the people in our communities. The CCBCM is concerned about improving the quality of life in the community. We are Christian men committed to project a positive image by making a difference in the community through positive actions. We are dedicated to be a proactive faith-based organization that will be visible in the community by producing results for our faith-based activities. The CCBCM has awarded $420,000 dollars in scholarships to (482) deserving young men and women pursuing their collegiate dreams and aspirations. We are concerned about meeting the needs of the community. We will maintain a high profile by sponsoring major programs to meet the growing needs of the community by providing financial and human resources. The CCBCM is concerned about helping those who may need assistance in feeding their families. Since 2002 we have provided $115,355 dollars in food, toys, donations to include COVID-19 support and assistance to families in need through our community outreach program. We have partnership with other faith-based organizations to give gifts of food to families in the community through programs, such as, our Thanksgiving Outreach, Christmas Outreach and the Self Help and Resource Exchange (SHARE) program where we delivery food on a monthly basis to families in need of assistance to include the Fort Washington Food Pantry.
