H-Town Dream Center

The H-Town Dream Center was founded by Shawn and Shannon Nelson with one powerful belief — that true transformation happens when a community unites with purpose. Our mission is to bring hope, healing, and freedom to the most vulnerable, enabling them to break the chains of poverty and begin to dream again. Serving Montgomery County and the Greater Houston Area, the Dream Center is a faith-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to restoring lives, breaking destructive cycles, and creating lasting change through our three pillars of impact: Feeding the Hungry through the Care & Share Food Pantry, distributing over one million meals annually. Rescuing Women and Children through our House of Hope program, offering safe housing, trauma-informed care, and restoration. Educating At-Risk Youth through the NXT GEN Program, providing mentorship, life skills, and a safe space to grow and heal. For over 15 years, we’ve been a beacon of hope for families in crisis — empowering lives, strengthening faith, and building a legacy of compassion and community transformation.
