Our Mission

Our mission is to alleviate hunger in the Texas Panhandle.

Who We Are

Fighting Hunger in the Texas Panhandle Since 1982 Founded in 1982, High Plains Food Bank (HPFB) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to alleviating hunger across the top 29 counties of the Texas Panhandle. As a regional hub for food collection, storage, and distribution, HPFB sources donated and purchased grocery items and delivers them through a robust network of partner agencies. These include churches, senior centers, childcare facilities, transitional housing programs, soup kitchens, Kids Cafe sites, emergency pantries, shelters, and other nonprofits—creating a vital safety net for neighbors facing food insecurity. Hunger Is Closer Than You Think Food insecurity affects thousands of families in our region every day. As a proud member of the **Feeding America** network, HPFB can stretch resources efficiently—every $1 donated helps provide approximately 9 meals to those in need. You Can Make a Difference The need is urgent, and your support is essential. Join us in the fight against local hunger by making a one-time or recurring gift. Together, we can ensure no family in the Texas Panhandle has to wonder where their next meal will come from.
