HUDSON COUNTY HOUSING RESOURCE CENTER INC

We are a non-profit organization established in 1990 by the County Executive, the Hudson County Board of Chosen Freeholders, and the late Reverend Msgr. John J. Gilchrist. HRC participates in the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)’s Housing Counseling Program. Hudson County residents facing housing related issues receive free and confidential information, guidance and referrals by a HUD-Certified Housing Counselor. In 1992, HRC expanded its services to provide Tenant Based Rental Assistance (TBRA) to low and moderate-low income, disabled residents of Hudson County. In the years since, HRC has provided safe and affordable housing in the private market to over 1,100 families. In 2000, with the support of County HOME funds and NJ Department of Community Affairs, HRC acquired and rehabilitated a multi-family property in West New York, New Jersey. Through this project, HRC is able to provide permanent, safe, and affordable housing to low income families.
