Our Mission

We help women and children that have left abusive homes. ICSSP provides food, clothing, housing, electric bill assistance, medical assistance, eyeglasses, cars, car repairs, college education and other emergency needs to help them get back on their feet.

Who We Are

ICSS leadership started the Battered Women's Program in 1995. Then in 2011 the I Can Still Shine Program was founded. During the last 24 years, over 10,000 women and children have come through the program for help and assistance after leaving a violent home. ICSS is proud to be a faith-based program where the message to families is that Jesus can and will help them change their lives and give them hope. ICSS is blessed to have a community of donors and volunteers, as well as churches who partner with the program to change lives in the DFW area. As more funding was received, ICSS added more services, now numbering 15 services for clients. This is not an overnight shelter, nor a source of legal aid, but an effort to address all their other needs if possible. If ICSS cannot help a mother, she is referred to a local partner who provides that service. Experience has shown that love and support are keys to thier success
