Our Mission

MISSION LESLIE'S WEEK Guiding Principles: Compassion: we seek to understand better the experiences of those we serve, which informs our hands-on delivery of love and care in meaningful and considerate ways. Community: We offer a supportive community to help all regain confidence and control. Empowerment: We are mindful of the emotional and physical journey of those we serve, and we provide education, services, and tools that help them grow and feel stronger. Inclusion: We are dedicated to building an inclusive community bound by a commitment to meet the needs of all diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer and their families. Partnership: We take pride in forming lasting, trusted relationships for our Honorees and their families that are meaningful to our mission and those we serve. Trust: We put the needs of those we serve first in all that we do and carefully steward our resources to ensure the highest standards of service and care.

Who We Are

Who Are We? We are LESLIE’S WEEK, a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization for the benefit of Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer women and their families. What do we do? We gift Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer women and their families a one-week vacation RETREAT4STAGE4 in the Tennessee Smoky Mountains where they make “Memories that Outlast Cancer.” We have an Educational Assistance Fund for the children of our Stage 4 BC mothers. Our mothers have hope NOW for their children’s FUTURE. Why do we do it? Breast cancer does not kill women; Metastasized Breast Cancer does. Statistics indicate that our Stage 4 women succumb to their metastasized breast cancer within 2 to 5 years. There is no cure. Stage 4 MBC family finances are toxic. Their limited funds are unable to support vacations or create precious family memories. How do we do it? We are an all-volunteer group. We collaborate with nationally recognized cancer centers that nominate candidates for our RETREAT4STAGE4. Anyone can nominate a Stage 4 MBC woman they know. We ask for Stage 4 Breast Cancer nominations and donations through our website. We hold fundraisers. We pray a lot! Please visit our website, www.lesliesweek.org to see how we impact lives.
