The Caring Place

The Caring Place seeks to provide access to basic resources and opportunities our neighbors need to achieve their goals. History In 2000, four of the larger Churches of God in Bradley County decided to merge their benevolent ministries into one entity and formed Lift and Redemption Ministries. In 2004, Pastors from now six participating churches formed the Board of Directors. It was during this time they completed the necessary paperwork for the ministry to become a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Later that year the pastors each appointed a layperson from their church to replace them on the Board. Lift and Redemption Ministries began doing business as The Caring Place in 2005. With this transition, the Board hired Reba A. Terry, LCSW as Executive Director. The organization began to grow as additional churches expressed interest in combining their benevolent efforts with that of The Caring Place. In January 2016, Dr. Randy Howard became the Executive Director. Currently, God has placed Corinne Freeman as the Executive Director. Corinne began with The Caring Place in 2014 and her love and compassion has continued to grow and her commitment to move forward is contagious. The organization enjoys support from 53 churches (12 different denominations) in Bradley County. Over 160 volunteers and thirteen staff members work together to serve our community.
