Our Mission

Midwest Parent Educators (MPE) serves as a local organization to promote educational freedom of parents. We are committed to protect the right and duty of parents in fulfilling the Biblical mandate to teach their children in a manner that will honor God. While this corporation is consistently and forthrightly Christian, we, at the same time, seek the above rights for all creeds.

Who We Are

In the fall of 1986, a group of 17 homeschool families gathered in the Kansas City area to provide encouragement and fellowship for one another. This was the beginning of the Johnson County Parent Educators (JCPE), now Midwest Parent Educators (MPE). Today we serve thousands of families every year through our events (conference and curriculum fairs, used curriculum sales, high school graduation ceremonies, and more), along with special discounts and resources to homeschoolers in the Midwest.
