MOSAIC CENTER

The Mosaic Center’s purpose is to improve the self-worth and self-esteem of the women we serve in Angelina County. We do this many ways: Job and Life Skills Core Program – The heart of The Mosaic Center is our Job and Life Skills Core Program. This 12-week program is offered twice a year, in the spring and in the fall. Students gain valuable insight and skills and leave the program with confidence to enter the workforce. This program includes resume writing, interviewing, money management, computer applications, healthy boundaries, decision-making and more. GED/Adult Basic Education: We are pleased to partner with Angelina College and offer Adult Basic Education and GED help throughout the year. These classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays, spring and fall hours: 1:00 pm -3:00 pm. Summer hours: 9:00 am -1:00 pm, Monday-Thursday. Registration is required for our summer program. (GED/ABE is also a part of our Core Program) English as a Second Language (ESL): ESL classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm in the spring and fall. Summer hours: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, Tuesday and Thursday. Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) classes: Through Angelina College Community Services, The Mosaic Center offers CNA classes here at the Mosaic June through August. Tuition is payable to Angelina College. Engage Parenting: CPS recognized 8 week course, held at The Mosaic Center Thursdays 10:00 am – 11:00 am.
