Our Mission

We exist to unify, serve and represent the Hispanic Evangelical Community with the divine (vertical) and human (horizontal) elements of the Christian message all while advancing the Lamb’s agenda.

Who We Are

In 1992, Dr. Jesse Miranda founded the Alianza Ministerial Evangelical Nacional or A.M.E.N, the first ever national Hispanic evangelical network. Meanwhile, in 1995, Rev. Samuel Rodriguez joined top tier Hispanic next generation leaders such as Rev. Nick Garza, Rev. Charlie Rivera and others in the strategic coordination and development of a Hispanic Evangelical Next Generation Movement under the canopy of The National Hispanic Youth Congress. In partnership with denominational conventions where attendance reached close to 10,000 in the Texas Region, Rodriguez led a mobilization conference platform that provided an impetus for the National Hispanic Evangelical Association. Thus, in 2001, these state wide and regional conferences, under the leadership of Rev. Samuel Rodriguez, united the statewide associations of Hispanic evangelicals and merged with A.M.E.N. to formally present a national voice on behalf of the Hispanic Evangelical Church. Founded in 2001 by Rev. Samuel Rodriguez, the NHCLC exists to unify, serve and represent the Hispanic Evangelical Community with the divine (vertical) and human (horizontal) elements of the Christian message via our 3 Directives of Life, Religious Liberty and Biblical Justice. Rev. Rodriguez articulated the vision for the NHCLC in a conference at Yale University. “For that matter, we stand committed to reconciling the vertical and horizontal elements of the Christian Cross: a Cross that is both covenant and community, salvation and transformation, righteousness and justice, John 3:16 and Matthew 25, Billy Graham and Dr. Martin Luther King. Together we can defend biblical truth, edify a firewall of righteousness and justice in this generation while simultaneously ushering in a New Awakening in the Name of Christ”. The NHCLC exists to: Exercise prophetic leadership by reconciling the vertical and horizontal planes of the Christian message; sanctification with service, conviction with compassion, the image of God with the habits of Christ, holiness and humility, John 3:16and Matthew 25 and the prophetic with the practical. Elevate the Imago Dei in every human being, in and out of the womb, without exception. Expose the Light of Christ by Reconciling Billy Graham’s message of salvation through Christ with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s march of prophetic activism. Engage and reform the culture by engaging, empowering and equipping Hispanic Christ following born again men and women to emerge as key influencers in all spheres of society and the marketplace. Enrich the narrative of American Evangelicalism by replacing the media exacerbated image of angry white evangelicals who oppose everything to a convicted yet compassionate multi-ethnic kingdom culture community committed to sharing truth with love. Edify a multi-ethnic, trans generational firewall against moral relativism, spiritual apathy, cultural decadence and ecclesiastical Luke warmness while simultaneously elevating biblical marriage, championing life and protecting religious liberty. Execute a local and national strategy that will activate the Daniel’s, and Esthers at all spheres of influence; education, media, business, arts, government, church and Empower Pastors with messaging and mobilization tools and resources for the purpose of leading a righteousness and justice movement. Evaluate the optics and metrics of the movement.
