Who We Are
Peyton’s Promise started in 2007 after the founder of the organization, Peyton, was watching the news about a little boy from Camden, New Jersey who did not know what the words breakfast, lunch, and dinner were. Peyton asked her parents “Are there children like that who live here?” After her parents explained the local food pantries and how sometimes families need the help of pantries for food Peyton wanted to “fix it”. One food drive turned into another and snowballed into what Peyton’s Promise is today.
Today, Peyton’s Promise has grown to serve over 55 local food pantries in Marathon County. We are proud to be partnered with these amazing organizations in the fight against hunger. With hundreds of volunteers and over 216 advocates working in their schools and their community to organize food drives and spread awareness about the problem of hunger.
