Ruff Dog Rescue North East

We are founded on the principle that no animal should die unwanted, unloved or alone. Run solely by dedicated volunteers serving the entire North East area, after seeing the abundance of dogs, puppies, pregnant momma dogs and seniors being euthanized everyday, we decided to band together knowing that we can't save them all but to rescue as many as we can. Making it our goal to reduce the pet population through spay and neuter intervention and educate the public about responsible pet ownership through adoption as opposed to purchase, we rescue dogs from high kill shelters and dangerous situations and place them into permanent, loving furever homes. We are very passionate about what we do and we love and care deeply for all our rescue dogs unconditionally. Ruff Dog Rescue North East does not just take healthy dogs, we rescue many dogs with an abundance of different health issues, i.e. mange, heartworm, malnutrition, abuse and neglect, broken bones, open wounds and scars. We take pride in our rescue and focus on quality over quantity. All of our dogs are placed in foster where they are loved, socialized and nurtured back to health, both physically and emotionally. Once rehabilitated through the love and hard work of our dedicated volunteers, upon adoption you too will see the overwhelming amount of love and dedication these dogs have to give and their gentle souls beaming through!
