SUMTER HUMANE SOCIETY INC

Through a change in management in 2011, the Sumter Humane Society went from a live outcome rate of 20% to our current rate of 89% +. We are an open intake shelter in a poverty stricken community. We receive many starved and abused dogs and cats; plus a large number of pit bulls and feral cats. Through perserverance and hard work we have joined forces wit6h some awesome New England rescues and most of our puppies, kittens, and non-aggressive dogs travel to other states and receive excellent homes.
