Our Mission

The Center for Mind-Body Medicine creates communities of hope and healing. We have the world’s largest, most effective, evidence-based program for healing population-wide psychological trauma and stress. We bring together a variety of techniques drawn from the world’s healing traditions as well as modern medicine to help whole populations learn to heal themselves.

We have the world's largest, most effective, evidence-based program for healing population-wide psychological trauma and stress. We bring together a variety of techniques drawn from the world's healing traditions as well as modern medicine to help whole populations learn to heal themselves. The Center for Mind-Body Medicine is the only organization with a program so comprehensive, effective, and easily translatable across cultures, that is capable of reaching whole populations. Published studies on our work show 80-90% reductions in PTSD after ten weeks of our Mind-Body Skills Groups. We train a critical mass of health professionals, educators, and community leaders in our unique mind-body medicine model of self-care, self-awareness, and group support; they in turn integrate our model into their communities and use it with the populations they serve, allowing us to benefit millions of people.
