Our Mission

At Trailblazer Foundation, we partner with rural communities across Cambodia to create lasting change through improved health, food security, education, and economic opportunity. By investing in locally driven, self-sustaining solutions, we help individuals and communities build stronger, healthier, and more resilient futures for generations to come.

Who We Are

Trailblazer Foundation breaks the cycle of rural poverty in Cambodia by replacing historical instability with community-led, sustainable infrastructure. Through integrated programs in clean water, food security, and financial literacy, they empower local villages to transition from survival to self-sufficiency and long-term resilience.
Empowering Rural Cambodia: From Survival to Self-Sufficiency Our Mission Trailblazer Foundation exists to help the people of rural Cambodia break the cycle of poverty and improve their health. We believe that by providing the tools for self-sufficiency—clean water, food security, and education—villages can build a resilient future that no longer relies on international aid. Our Story: Why Cambodia? Our journey began in response to a profound need. Decades of civil war and genocide left Cambodia’s social foundations in ruins. While the country has seen rapid growth, the "informal sector" (including rural farming) has lagged, leaving many families in a state of severe deprivation. We focus our efforts on Siem Reap Province, which remains one of the most poverty-stricken and food-insecure regions in the country. We knew that by partnering with local leaders and using appropriate technology, we could turn the tide. Our Impact: Building Sustainable Systems We implement long-term solutions to address the "absolute poverty" still affecting millions. Our current landscape of impact includes: Clean Water & Health: Providing access to safe water—a critical need, as 49% of Cambodian children still suffer from multidimensional poverty, often lacking clean water and sanitation. Food Security: Addressing malnutrition in a country where 22% of children under five are stunted due to poor diet. Economic Growth: Building resilience in a nation where nearly 17.8% of the population still lives below the national poverty line. Local Leadership: We empower village committees to manage projects independently, ensuring that growth continues long after our direct involvement ends. The Current Reality While the national poverty rate has improved since the 2000s, the World Bank defines the International Poverty Line at $3.00 per day. For many in rural areas, the daily struggle is even more acute, with roughly 16% of households unable to afford a nutritious diet. Our goal is to move these communities beyond these thresholds toward a life of dignity and health. How You Can Help Sustainable change is a collective effort. You can play a vital role in helping a Cambodian village reach independence. Donate: Your contributions directly fund our four programs which include water filters, wells, and agricultural training. Spread the Word: Share our mission to help others understand the potential of a self-sufficient rural Cambodia. Partner with Us: Help us expand our reach to the villages that need it most.
