World Affairs Council of Greater Houston

We believe an informed and engaged society starts right here at home, with impacts across the world. We're passionate about equipping today's educators and engaging tomorrow's leaders – last year alone we impacted roughly 3,500 students and countless teachers through our foreign affairs programming, classroom materials, lesson plans and on-campus presence in more than 40 schools across Greater Houston. We believe in dialogue and promoting international understanding. It's one thing to read a headline, but we believe in taking it one step further by dialoguing face-to-face, and at times one-on-one, with today's leading officials, speakers and thought leaders. Our programming is open to the public and when possible, our members and students receive special access to dialogue with our guests. It's a once-in-a-lifetime learning opportunity. And last but not least, global education is not complete without travel. We're passionate about the opportunities that seeing a people, a place and a culture has on reshaping our preconceived notions and broadening our worldview. We specialize in small group travel, crafting exclusive itineraries that offer an inside look at government, life and culture in a country of geopolitical interest.
