ICNC advocates for the interest of business on Chicago’s Nearwest Side. ICNC strengthens both start-up & emerging companies by providing business development assistance as well as information and links to public and private resources and services. ICNC, an employer-driven organization, develops programs and services in response to the needs of the companies it represents. In addition to the $2.5 million a year in revenue from its incubator (operated by ICNC and its 501 (c)(3) affiliate, the Kinzie Industrial Development Corp or KIDC), ICNC receives over $700,000 a year in funding from government and foundation grants – positioning it to offer extensive no-cost services to local companies and tenants. Today, ICNC is comprised of over 400 member companies and represents the Nearwest side’s rapidly growing business community, comprised of over 2,000 small businesses. Watertown Food Pantry
PROGRAM: We provide needy households with basic food items. As the number of adults and children in the household increases, the number of food items increases. The amount of meat a family receives also increases. In addition to these basic food items, we have a ‘free’ wall of miscellaneous food items. Families may take anywhere from 4 to 8 items; and these items are over and beyond their normal allotment. When we have LOTS of food in stock, we are even more generous in food distribution. It’s better to have it distributed to those in need than throw it away because it is past the expiration date. We give each family a “Milk Voucher” for Piggly Wiggly, which is good for one free gallon of milk. The amount we pay each month has substantially decreased due to the fundraising efforts at our local Piggly Wiggly store. In the waiting room, there is a corner cabinet stocked with donated books for children of all ages. Each child may pick out and take home one book each time they come to the pantry. These books come from a variety of sources........rummage sales, library book sales, fundraising events, just to name a few.

The mission of RVRI is to provide knowledge of raptors (birds of prey) and the ecosystems that support them to the public and scientific community, through research conservation and education. As widespread predators inhabiting all terrestrial ecosystems, raptors serve as valuable indicators of ecosystem health. As “environmental barometers”, or the “coal miner's canary”, raptors are often the first obvious component of an ecosystem to show the negative effects of a failing system. RVRI believes that by protecting raptors and effectively managing for them, we are in turn, protecting the wild integrity of those ecosystems as a whole.

Shelter of Hope
Our mission is to provide temporary emergency shelter and permanent housing assistance for individuals and families in need of transitional services leading them to self-sufficiency and for whom none is available from existing community resources. Provisions will be made without discrimination because of age, race, color, creed, religion, sex, handicap, national origin, familial status, marital status, sexual orientation or gender identity. Shelter of Hope serves households with children and without children, who are residents of the FIVCO Area (Boyd, Carter, Greenup, Elliott, and Lawrence Counties, Kentucky). Preference is given to literally homeless households, families with children, homeless veterans with or without children, adults with disabilities, and domestic violence victims unable to enter into the local Victim Service Provider.
