Roughly 422 million people live in extreme poverty in Africa, that is one in three people. The World Bank defines “extreme poverty” as living on $1.25 or less a day. Pilot Light has been working for 12 years with people living in extreme poverty in Africa to help them improve their lives through creating a sustainable, livable income.
