ICNC/KINZIE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
ICNC advocates for the interest of business on Chicago’s Nearwest Side. ICNC strengthens both start-up & emerging companies by providing business development assistance as well as information and links to public and private resources and services. ICNC, an employer-driven organization, develops programs and services in response to the needs of the companies it represents. In addition to the $2.5 million a year in revenue from its incubator (operated by ICNC and its 501 (c)(3) affiliate, the Kinzie Industrial Development Corp or KIDC), ICNC receives over $700,000 a year in funding from government and foundation grants – positioning it to offer extensive no-cost services to local companies and tenants. Today, ICNC is comprised of over 400 member companies and represents the Nearwest side’s rapidly growing business community, comprised of over 2,000 small businesses. We are the Center for Modern Dance Education (CMDE) is a community arts organization with the mission to promote modern dance and related art forms and make it available to everyone while serving as a resource for the professional dance community. HealthEd Connect
HealthEd Connect builds on a solid foundation of 20 years of experience with volunteer Community Health Workers who are directly involved with the families and special needs in their villages. Many of these villages are now facing incredible challenges as the number of orphaned children, primarily due to HIV/AIDS, has grown dramatically and the typical surviving caregiver is an aging grandmother who has lost both her husband and children. Going forward, HealthEd Connect will remain flexible and adaptive by connecting villagers and their leaders to expanding visions of possibilities, targeted training, and access to resources.
