At Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS), we are grateful for the generosity of our volunteers and mentors alike. Our goals are to match more than 100 children with dedicated volunteer mentors, to increase the communities awareness of our services, and to build partnerships with community organizations and businesses alike. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Racine and Kenosha Counties is dedicated to establishing successful community-based mentoring relationships for youth in need, which help build brighter futures, better schools and stronger communities for all. We are actively recruiting volunteer mentors-men, women and couples-to be matched with one of the 70 children on our waiting list. Mid-South Spay & Neuter Services is a 501(c)3 non-profit clinic dedicated to reducing pet overpopulation and high euthanasia rates by offering affordable spay and neuter surgeries to the public. The clinic has operated since 2005 and has performed over 35,000 spay and neuter procedures and counting. In addition, the clinic offers age-appropriate pet vaccinations and micro-chipping, which are done at time of surgery.

The Ten Thousand Villages store in Alexandria has been a fixture in Old Town since 1994, and our loyal customers have made us one of the most successful stores in the country, thus ensuring steady income and better lives for hundreds of artisans in the developing world. As we approach our 21th anniversary in 2015 we are building on that success to strengthen and deepen the fair trade connection in the national capital region. We completed a successful campaign and Alexandria became the first Fair Trade Town in Virginia as well as in the DC metro region.
