Custom Collaborative trains, mentors, and advocates for and with no/low-income and immigrant women to build the skills necessary to achieve economic success in the sustainable fashion industry and broader society. We aim to achieve our mission of changing the apparel industry economics for low-income and immigrant women through: Serving The Underinvested 100% are ambitious and talented 85% of our students are mothers. 80% of the participants live below the federal poverty level. 50% live in unstable housing. Our participants come 20 nations, including the US. Providing participants with opportunities to increase their economic standing while supporting the needs of local independent designers.

Our journey began with a heartfelt desire to make a difference in the lives of the homeless population in Detroit by providing them with essential resources such as clothing, food, and toiletries. With a dedicated team of volunteers and a strong sense of compassion, we strive to make a positive impact and bring hope to those facing challenges. Our experience and dedication set us apart, allowing us to effectively address the needs of the homeless community and create meaningful change in Detroit.
