The Hunger Coalition
We believe that providing basic food security lays the cornerstone on which people in need can build lives of greater economic security. We believe that once food security is met, other community service agencies will be more effective in their efforts to help people in need move toward economic security. We believe that feeding those in need is an urgent moral and practical imperative. If Blaine County wants a vibrant economy and a connected community, and if it wants to be prepared for civil or natural disaster, then we believe the County must make a commitment to support a coordinated network that acquires and distributes food to children and neighbors in need.

BRAZORIA COUNTY SOCIETY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS (SPCA of Brazoria County)
The SPCA of Brazoria County is here to help Bring Love Home. We serve the communities of Freeport, Clute, and Lake Jackson, Texas. We are leading Brazoria County to a time when there are no more homeless pets through four objectives: Education. All animals have value and should be treated with compassion and respect. We believe in promoting responsible pet ownership, teaching children compassion toward animals, fostering a community of support for animal welfare, and bringing animal welfare issues to the forefront of community awareness. Spay/Neuter. The only way to break the cycle of pet overpopulation in our community is to prevent unwanted pets from ever being born. Spayed and neutered pets are healthier, happier, and make better companions. We are committed to providing low-cost, high-volume spay and neuter procedures to our community. Adoption. Adoptions are vital to our life-saving mission. Every pet deserves a loving home. We work hard each day to find homes for the homeless pets in our care. A World-Class Shelter. Every pet deserves a home, but the reality is that there are thousands of homeless pets right here in our own community. We provide shelter, medical care, and a place of refuge for homeless pets as they wait to find their forever homes.

Our vision for change is that clients who emerge from our programs and services are living crime-free lives and prospering as accountable citizens of their communities.
